1. Regular Puppy Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups of whole wheat flour (or any wheat substitute like oats)

1 tsp. of salt

1 egg

1 tsp. of beef or chicken broth

½ cup of hot water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix broth with hot water.
  3. Add other ingredients and continue mixing.
  4. Knead dough until it forms a ball.
  5. Roll dough until it’s approximately ½ inch thick.
  6. Cut dough into slices or shapes (you will need a cookie cutter for shapes).
  7. Place these pieces on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  8. Cook for 30 minutes.
  9. When done, serve these treats to your puppy on a plate!

2. Veggie Dog Treats (Spinach, Carrot, and Zucchini)

Ingredients:

1 cup of pumpkin puree

1/4 cup of peanut butter

2 large eggs

½ cup of oats

3 cups of whole wheat flour

1 shredded carrot

1 shredded zucchini

1 cup of spinach

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. With an electric mixer, beat pumpkin puree, peanut butter and eggs until completely mixed for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add ½ cup of oats and 2 ½ cups of whole wheat flour slowly and at a low speed until mixed together.
  5. Add the remaining amount of flour when the dough is no longer sticky.
  6. Mix in the shredded carrot and zucchini and 1 cup of spinach and beat until well combined.
  7. Flour the surface of your counter and knead dough until it is fully combined.
  8. With a rolling pin, roll the dough until it’s approximately ¼ inch thick.
  9. Cut out the dough into shapes and place onto the prepared baking sheet. You will need a cookie cutter to make the shapes you want.
  10. Place shapes on baking sheet into your oven and bake until the edges are golden brown.
  11. Once it’s cooled down, let your puppy enjoy!

3. Pumpkin Apple Puppy Treats

Ingredients:

4 cups of oatmeal

1 apple (medium-sized)

1 egg

1 cup of pumpkin (canned)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Crush 4 cups of oatmeal down in a blender. Once finished, transfer mixture to a bowl.
  3. Peel and core a medium-sized apple, removing all seeds. After shredding apple, add these pieces to the bowl.
  4. Add 1 egg and 1 cup of canned pumpkin to the bowl and mix ingredients together. The mixture should look thick and sticky.
  5. Dust a surface with oatmeal and roll the dough until approximately ½ inch thick.
  6. With a cookie cutter, cut dough into shapes, and place them onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake these treats until golden and crispy (around 12-15 minutes).
  8. Wait until treats have cooled. Feed to your puppy when done!

4. DIY Minty Breath Treats

Ingredients:

½ cup of fresh mint

½ cup of fresh parsley

1 large egg

1 tbsp. of charcoal (activated)

1 tbsp. of diatomaceous earth

2 tbsp. of Brewers yeast

½ tsp. of gelatin (grass fed)

3 tbsp. of coconut oil

1 tbsp. of melted Ghee butter

½ cup of bone broth

1 tbsp. of juiced wheatgrass

1.2 cup of garbanzo bean flour

Instructions:

  1. In a blender or mixer, combine fresh mint, fresh parsley, activated charcoal, diatomaceous earth, Brewer’s yeast, grass fed gelatin and egg. Mix together until well combined.
  2. Add melted coconut oil, Ghee butter, bone broth and juiced wheatgrass to mix and combine until well mixed.
  3. Add ½ cup of garbanzo bean flour. Combine ingredients until mixture looks like dough.
  4. Roll dough out on a parchment paper until approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut dough with a cookie clutter to make desired shapes. Place these shapes onto baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees F for around 10-15 minutes.
  7. Cool treats down and feed to your puppy when desired.

4. Rice and Chicken Doggy Biscuits

Ingredients:

6 oz of boneless chicken breast

½ cup of cooked wild rice

½ cup of chicken stock

2 ½ cups of All Purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1 egg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix chicken breast, wild rice and chicken stock in a blender or mixer and beat until it looks like paste.
  3. Add in the flour, salt, egg and chicken paste into a mixing bowl. Combine until mixed well.
  4. Dust a flat surface with flour and knead dough until it’s no longer sticky. Once finished, roll out dough with a rolling pin until approximately ½ inch thick.
  5. Cut out shapes with cookie cutter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake treats in oven for around 25-30 minutes or until light brown.
  7. Cool treats down before giving it to your puppy!
